Religious Education at St Agnes School

St Agnes School is an Anglican school and the Religious Education provided is in conformity with the doctrines and practices of the Church of England. Parents of children seeking admission to the school are expected to be in sympathy with the Christian aims of the school. Parents can withdraw their children from all or part of the religious education provision and also collective worship.

Our parish priest, Reverend Edith Disley comes into school and takes an active part in the worshipping life of the school and takes regular assemblies usually on a Wednesday morning. Corporate worship is held each day. The links between the church and school are very close and the children participate in all the major religious festivals connected with the church such as Easter, Harvest Festival, Christmas and Church Anniversary.

All classes present at least one assembly for parents during the academic year. Dates of which will be sent out nearer the time.
