Our Teacher: Mr Taylor
Learning Assistants: Miss Marlor and Miss Pilling.
In our class there are 13 Year 3 children and 16 Year 4 children.
In the classroom we all have our seats which are set up in the best way to support us. Our walls all have useful information to aid us with our mathematics and grammar. We also have a range of different resources which we use on a daily basis to enhance our learning. During all our different lessons we also like to use the outside environment to take our learning outside of the classroom.
Children will be swimming on Monday from the autumn until the February half term as well as PE lessons on Wednesday and Thursday. When we first arrive in the morning, we sit at out desks and complete any Fix It Time whilst coats are hung up and register taken. We then take part in Guided Reading, followed by Mathematics and then Topic. This could be Science, RE, Art or other subjects such as Humanities. English skills are taught through these topics. In the afternoons we continue Topic and may take part in additional PE activities or swimming. In our class we do lots of different learning. We do small focussed group learning, independent learning, and learning all together. This helps us to do our best and enjoy being in our class. Homework is set on a Wednesday and due in the following Monday.

Things to Remember
PE days are Tuesday mornings and Wednesday afternoons but it is important that pupils have their PE kits in school at all times during the week as there may be opportunities for further PE lessons as the weather improves outside.
Guitars with Mr Hemmingway will take place on a Thursday morning – all pupils participate in learning to play the guitar and music theory.
Homework will be sent out on a weekly basis on a Wednesday and needs to be returned to school by the following Monday. We will also be sending home weekly spellings to learn and practice every Monday.
Guided reading takes place daily in Class 3 but pupils will still be given a home reading book. Pupils must inform an adult in the class when their reading book needs changing and this will be checked and a new given out.
Every day children may be expected to read and so school reading books should be in red bags.
