Take a look at some of the great things we have been doing in Class 2.

Animal Poo Investigation - February 2019

This week the children have investigated animal poo (not real ofcourse!) to classify whether the animal was a carnivore, herivore or omnivore. The children thoroughly this science investigation, although some were totally disgusted! They correctly classified the poo and then recorded what they had found.

Tudor Houses - February 2019

As part of our topic about The Great Fire of London we made our own tudor houses.

School Nurse Visit - January 2019

The children learnt about the importance of brushing our teeth twice a day and that we should visit a dentist every six months to check that are teeth are healthy.

Dragon Eyes - January 2019

After writing reports about dragons, the children in class 2 had fun making decorative dragons eyes out of plastercine.

The Great Fire of London Workshop - November 2018

Class 2 were visited by Clem from One Day Creative workshops who helped us act out the Great Fire of London. The children learnt some importnat historical facts, whilst developing drama skills of freeze framing and developing their listening and looking skills. The children put on a short showcase for the whole school at the end of the day, demonstrating all that they had learnt. It was a great day.

Forest School - November 2018

The children have been taking part in 'Forest School'. They have been learning about the importance of respect, whilst developing their skills of listening and taking turns. They have learnt about different animals, read stories and learnt songs whilst enjoying our outdoor environment.

Colour Mixing Experiments - September 2018

Class 2 have been using some scientific measuring skills to explore colour mixing in art. They predicted what colours would be made and then experimented on how to create darker and lighter colours.
