Our class is the Reception class and we have just started school.
Our Teacher: Mrs Pook
Learning Assistant: Mrs Rainsford
In our class there are 15 children.
Our classroom has a role play area which changes each half term to reflect our topic. We currently have a home corner which enables us to act out real life experiences. At Christmas time we have a stable which we really enjoy as it helps us to act out the Christmas story. We have writing and number areas to help us learn our letters and numbers. In our art area we get to use lots of different materials so we can make pictures and models.
We love playing in the sand and water tray and with different textures such as playdough. We have an interactive whiteboard which helps us to develop our ICT skills. We use this to play on fun games and we enjoy sharing a variety of activities with our friends. Everyday we have lots of different activities in our classroom which helps keep our learning experiences new and exciting. We also work with Mrs Pook and Mrs Rainsford each day who help us with our learning.

Things to Remember
Monday - new sounds/numbers will be added to sound and number books. Please could these books be in children's bags.
We will do P.E every Wednesday - P.E kits need to be in school (white t shirt, black shorts, black pumps)
Every day children may be expected to read and so school reading books should be in red bags.
Rewards and Recognition
In our class we get stars for our good behaviour we are all in different houses and when we get a star we take it to our house, we try really hard to get stars because if our house gets the most stars at the end of the year we get to go on a trip. We wear different coloured star badges to represent which house we are in and we wear these with pride. We receive stickers for good behaviour and get to choose a prize from the special box if we do something really good.
